1. Performance & Function

Purpose:
The track roller is a core load-bearing component of the crawler undercarriage, responsible for transferring the machine’s weight to the ground while enduring impact loads during operation. It also prevents lateral derailment of the track.

Design Features:

• Utilizes sealed sliding bearings for support.

• Equipped with floating oil seals for dust/water resistance, ensuring long-term maintenance-free operation (only a single lubrication is required during major service intervals).

Types:
Available in single-flange and double-flange configurations. For medium-sized crawler cranes like the QUY50, the track roller typically adopts a shouldered shaft design, balancing axial load capacity and manufacturing simplicity.

2. Material & Heat Treatment

Material:

• Made of 40MN2 alloy steel, offering high strength and toughness.

Heat Treatment:

• The roller surface undergoes quenching, achieving a hardness of HRC 48–57 to significantly enhance wear resistance and impact absorption.

3. Operating Conditions

Working Environment:

• Designed for harsh conditions (e.g., mining, construction) with frequent vibrations and uneven loads.

• Roller arrangement follows a "sparse in the middle, dense at both ends" pattern to optimize load distribution.

Maintenance Requirements:

• Regularly inspect track tension (excessive tension accelerates wear; insufficient tension risks derailment).

• Ensure proper alignment of the guide wheel to extend service life.
